Intended Use

Clinical Significance
Glutamate Dehydrogenase is mainly found in the mitochondria of cells and catalyses the deamination of L glutamate to alpha ketoglutarate and ammonia.
Principle
This is an optimized standard method according to the recommendations of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Klinische Chemie. This procedure measures the non-specific creep reaction.
